Q: Who are you?
A: Hi, I'm Mel. I've been playing SamsaraMOO and its predecessor HellMOO for quite a long time. In the past, I also contributed a lot to game documentation.
Q: Dead game?????
A: No, it's alive and well. Play the game and hang out with people that play it.
Q: Why make this site?
A: Two reasons: guiding new players and sharing my opinions on various aspects of the MOO. Both of these things can be extremely difficult to do in game. Putting it on a website is easy.
Q: Who mentored you on the MOO?
A: Ace_of_Chubs.
Q: Will you mentor me?
A: No. Trust me, you wouldn't want me to anyway. I have the social ability of a syphilitic grapefruit.
Q: What do you smoke?
A: Kentucky Select Gold and Orion's Belt by Shango with a 16-inch beaker bong, male-joint slide, hemp wick, and a Zippo with a standard windproof insert.
Q: You killed me! Can I have my gear back?
A: I don't loot gear in PvP. If anything's missing from your corpse, someone else took it. Feelsbad
Q: What scripts do you use?
A: A lot, but I can't really share them. It's a PvP risk and trust me I'm a crappy scripter anyway.
Q: Any audio advice?
A: Do not settle for less than 16/44.1 FLAC or equivalent, buy good headphones, and don't be afraid to pick and choose mixes.
Q: What's up with the engravings?
A: If you see something like "Mel's Gear" with a year/month and a serial number, that is or was at some point my gear. I give gear away for free often so you'll likely find my stuff in all kinds of places. I use the serial number in a tracking script. The year/month is when I first acquired that piece of gear.
Q: What's your build?

Q: Wut. Your build sucks. Why is it so weird?
A: This build was made with top-end PvP generalism in mind (and clearly it's pretty good at that). It's not built for brags and it's not flashy, but it is very functional.

Q: Any tips on display?
Yeah, build your own HUD. That sounds flippant, but it's the best advice I can give. Only you know what works for you. I keep tweaking mine. I use MUSHClient and for that I'd recommend looking at the documentation for the WindowCreate() function and related functions. Here's mine:
Q: Any tips on keybinds and macros?
This is also pretty personal but at the very least I'd recommend binding anything you use frequently. If your keyboard has a numpad, it probably comes by default with 1-9 for movement. The rest of the keypad is your oyster and has its own special menu. On MUSHClient you'll also want to run the Accelerator() function to expand your options beyond your numpad.
